Welcome back to Genesis Ark
A request for help with a piece of work.... I need a hi quality scan (300dpi) of Sarah Jane from the Invasion Of The Bane novelisation cover, in an attempt to update the story of the same name for here. Much appreciated if someone could help me out. The same shot is in the new DWM SJA special, on page 12 but it's got too much writing over it to make it usable... hoping to hear from someone!
Andy
My time is gonna get sparse as November rolls around as I'm going to be moving home,
so this is likely to hold up the latter Sarah Jane Adventures covers and possibly Waters Of Mars.....
but I shall endeavour to still keep the updates rolling in.
Please don't start sending me emails about it around that time, as those that have done will know, it's gonna be a trying time as it is!
Believe me, as soon as I can, I will get those covers up on here.
As i write this, the news has come in about producer Barry Letts' death today..... R.I.P. The man's contribution to classic Who cannot be regarded highly enough really. He oversaw all the Pertwee era, bar one, creating the Master, and Sarah Jane, two enduring characters still used today by the programme. And he cast Tom Baker in the part.... the man clearly knew his stuff. Nuff' said. Farewell, and thankyou Barry.
Thoughts on the new logo....?! Well, I was a trifle underwhelmed at first, but I'm sure it'll look good in the new title sequence. Hopefully. Look forward to using it next year!
Andy
Just to update you all, it's been pointed out I had the wrong date on 'The Next Doctor' covers, so it's now been corrected. Apologies....
Andy
Finally I've had the time to finish the 2008 Christmas Special, 'The Next Doctor', starring the brilliant David Morrissey in the title role..... mmm, why do I have the nagging feeling I may have preferred him to be the real 11th Doctor. Don't know why but I'm having a hard time getting my head round Mr Smith as the newest man. The costume seems to be OK, would have liked it a little more old-school (I could really see him in full Troughton get-up) but it's cool. Perhaps this year's lean year have made me skeptical...
Impressed to see the latest DWM has the top 200 stories compilation, with the old series mixing it up with the new stuff! But shocked at the scoring of some stories..... from their respective Doctor's. Is Bad Wolf (ok, and Parting Of The Ways) better than Dalek, the story that put New Who back at the top? Where's the love for The Impossible Planet / The Satan Pit.... No.35?! Worse then The War Games? I like Blink, but better than Human Nature? The Xmas (and Easter!) Specials don't fare too well either. Sad for those fans of the Hartnell and Pertwee era's, once so popular, but seemingly forgotten in the new world. I still love ya! It's very much Baker (T), and new Who's top ten, so well done the Androzani for hanging on in there... no mean feat. Anyway, just random thoughts....
The Sarah Jane Adventures return on BBC1 on the 15th October, for a third series,
and if you still haven't tried it, please do this time around.... the third story will even get two different versions of covers,
one SJA, one Doctor Who, for this story will star our eponymous hero, in the spin-off show!
And if that's not enough, K9's back for even more this time, than just a cameo.
Far better than some Aussie copy-cat mickey-take..... don't get me started again....!
Andy
Apologies to those waiting for the final 'Torchwood : Children of Earth' covers, but life has overtaken me in the last week, and unfortunately other priorities had to take primary place.
I'm currently off on holiday, but to tide the site over here is finally the Easter Doctor Who special - 'Planet of the Dead'.....
I'd like to think it's worth the wait.
But it's great to hear your comments on this, the first new episode of Who since the site returned.
Yes, I know I haven't done 'The Next Doctor' yet either, I promise it'll be here before this Xmas.... honest.
Give me leeway just this once.....
I'll also be adding a different version of the 'Planet of the Dead' cover after I return, a more generic version with none of the genesis template, but with the same artwork... hopefully will branch out into this way more and more...
And on another note many, many thanks to those who commented after the covers were stolen, and re-hosted, it's nice to know I've got such worldwide support!! The site will get changes made to it, for my sanity, if anything, but not quite yet. Ian's working on it, but it'll be a while yet. Thanks again. Look on the Planet Of The Dead piece as my thankyou. Just don't go removing my logo and uploading it somewhere else....!
Andy
It currently appears that I've had a selection of my previous Torchwood covers taken,
had my logo deliberately removed, and put onto Cdcovers.cc.
Sadly it means obviously that I may pull the site for the meantime, until I work out another way of doing it. In fact we're looking into it now, and hopefully we'll keep the site user-friendly, but also it may require you to simply register here. If you care about the artwork and covers on here, it may be my only solution.
This is the same person who took Jim Sangster(Jimster)'s and Damien May(tempus31)'s work and posted that as his own. His name is Darrell Wyatt, and he clearly makes a habit of it..... Well done, Darrell, you've just made more than one enemy.
I'm simply not willing to put in a ton of hard work, for someone else to rip it off, so quite honestly it's a sad day for me at least.
Those that genuinely like and use my work, I appreciate all your 'patronage' (if thats the word!).... I hope at least to most this is understandable.
Hopefully not the end..... please use the Guestbook to post any comments on this.

So filming is underway on the 2010 Doctor Who series, and Matt Smith's debut. Scary that it's already happening, and yet with three more episodes this year, before David Tennant's farewell, have we already forgotten the tenth man? He'll be hard to replace.
Mr Smith has his work cut out.
Love him , or hate him, Tennant's love for the show is unmistakeable.
I hope he doesn't regret going so soon.
And Karen Gillan looks to be shaping up (sorry....
) as the curviest of the good Doctor's companions to date!
Number Eleven's a lucky man!
