Welcome back to Genesis Ark
Been very busy as usual, finding time slim again. The Lodger is becoming very hard work, thus I've slipped across and Doctor Who Confidential now has Complete Series 5 covers and art... Pretty pleased with this, hopefully these boxsets will get some interest!!
Those asking via email regarding which covers I'm doing next or in the future, the list is long, and will be taking up a lot of time... so here goes. Once Series 5 is complete of covers (so that's The Lodger, The Big Bang, and Complete Series 5 Boxset) I'm hoping to complete The Waters Of Mars finally (see the new link bars below for a preview... but it's still not finished!). Then as promised, since after last year's turbulent time in my home life, I will be doing The Sarah Jane Adventures Series 3 covers, followed fairly soon afterwards Series 4... hopefully, if there is interest?
Personally I'd like to redo the 2009 Specials as new genesis covers.... that may be down the line too. Probably missed something out.... don't hold your breath!

I've created some new link banners for Genesis Ark, much appreciated those that would like to link to us, or could update to these new ones.
And please feel free to send us links so that we can do the same, cheers!
If you'd like to link your website to Genesis Ark, then feel free to copy one of the banners above to your webspace and link it to http://www.genesisark.co.uk

Forgive me jumping an episode, The Lodger will return.... too far in now to give up. Just the rich images in the finale gave me a lot of ideas, so wanted to crack on with that.... Two wallpapers for the front art and back art, hopefully works in the way I intended.
Too much to include on one piece, in my opinion. So that's the road I went down. Please leave some comments on them! And thanks to Ben Roberts for helping me find some decent quotes for the recent episodes, unofficial quotemaster!
Andy
As we hurtle towards the season finale (as I write this, it's 5pm, an hour to go to 'The Big Bang'), it seems each year of the show goes by and feels like it's been taken for granted.... I hope in year's to come I will look back more fondly on this series, than I have as it's been on, think I must be getting over critical in my old fan's ways sadly.
As it's the end of term time feel to it all, it's about time I sent some thanks to a few people. Ryan Emmonds site (dwimage2005.com), The Image Archive has been invaluable to me, for images and screencaps which Ryan was putting up within 48 hours of each new episode... a gutsy job, but one which I'm grateful he did...
Kevin Mullen and Mark Pilbeam have both created renders for me personally to use, and their help allowed me to get closer to that idea that you just have in your head, but very hard to nail, so thanks guys... For them to spend personal time and hours helping me, says a lot for the DW community, well most of the one I've encountered!
My brother Ian, is as we speak creating me yet another vector graphic for a forthcoming piece, so yet again, thanks to him. But this site is created by him, I may do the art but it's Ian's skill that brings the updates to you, and again his help has got me closer to the vision in my head, so thankyou Ian.
Enjoy the 'Flesh And Stone' covers and wallpaper, they are now online, the gap is plugged.
Three episodes to follow, with a Series Boxset to come and a Confidential boxset too.
Hoping the time they are taking is making it worthwhile, thanks for all you comments in the
FB
group page, and on here in the Guestbook.
Enjoy the big bang to end all big bangs....
Andy
I know, I know, I still havent done 'Flesh And Stone', each new week, have presented me with a story better then previous, so wanted to crack on with that cover, so 'Flesh And Stone' gets put further back! It will get a cover, one day....
'The Pandorica Opens' was brilliant, still think it's the biggest 'fan-wank' story ever, all the Doctor's biggest and baddest enemies get together, and capture him, but hey, it worked, so I'm open to that! Hope after all the hype, and with RTD's record with wrapping up his finale's while he was in charge, despite my love for that era, that this time round, the Moff will do the right thing, and he has a genuinely good and sound way for this to end. Our fanbase has been shaken in this house this year, but it's not been all bad, and see better things for Matt and Karen in future series....
The covers for 'Vincent And The Doctor' are now online, so please show your interest guys....
The Facebook group
now has over 200 members, which is heartening, but I know there's plenty out there using them, judging by downloads, so come on, speak out please!!!
And then before we knew it, 'The Big Bang' was upon us.....
Andy
Would like to say a big thanks to Kevin Mullen for his help in me creating this latest cover for 'Cold Blood'. Kevin's been helpful before, but this time surpassed himself, in a record time!! Cheers Kevin.
Whilst I still would not call this series the greatest ever (ducks as so many missiles come his way) it's certainly not been the worst, but I've felt it's had plenty of ups and downs. But liked the idea of The Lodger, and hoped it would work. How nice it feels to have seen an episode that went beyond what I expected! Thought Matt Smith was superb in this, his best performance since Eleventh Hour I felt, and even the Marmite-like James Corden was very good. In a season where it seemed that too much change had ruined things for me, this change worked big time....
Moving on to the final story.... I'll just say this. Why does it seem like it's Doomsday all over again.... sorry, hope I'm proved wrong.
Til next time.... please use the Guestbook or the
FB
group account, it's nice to hear from those using the pieces on here,
otherwise why am I bothering.... hello, hello, is there anyone there....??
Andy
Really feel the series is getting better as it continues, 'Cold Blood' was very good, as was last night's 'Vincent And The Doctor'.
Perhaps I'll re-evaluate the series once it's over.... 'Cold Blood' surprised me, with it's portentious ending(s), and I can't wait to see how it unfolds. Hope I'm not disappointed....
Andy
Wasn't really sure what 'Amy's Choice' was all about first time round but enjoyed it more on secong viewing which seems to be the only way I'm getting through this new series, for some reason.....
Am still struggling to find time for covers and art,
so please don't think I've forgotten 'Flesh And Stone' or 'The Waters Of Mars'
but 'Amy's Choice' is now available.
Please join the Facebook
page if you're on there!!
Getting more popular!
Thanks, enjoy...
Andy
Apologies, but it's been pointed out that I got the date wrong on the back of the genesis cover for 'The Vampires Of Venice'.
The cover has now been adjusted. Sorry to those that have already printed it. But I'm only human....
Andy
Despite my intention to do 'Flesh And Stone' next, I've jumped ahead to 'The Vampires Of Venice' as far as covers are concerned... I hope to get enough time to do more on the former asap. Just not enough hours right now.
Wasn't particularly enamoured with the Venice romp, looked superb again, but just still feel it's lacking something. I don't know what, before you ask, just feels so different a show to before.... In time I'm sure I'll enjoy it on a second viewing, when I ever get the time!
Please don't fill the guestbook asking for 'Flesh And Stone' covers, believe me, I am working on it! And to a few who've been emailing, sometimes a please doesn't go amiss!! Hey guys, it's a fan-site!! And there's no rush is there.... Not for me anyway, I'd rather take my time to be honest, if it isn't right in my eyes, it ain't coming on here!! Comments as ever appreciated...
Andy
'JUST IN MY OPINION...'
The site now has covers for 'The Time Of Angels', a brilliant episode I thought, very suspenseful, and looked great on screen, very US-show almost, in my opinion. Having now seen 'Flesh And Stone', I'm not sure the cliffhanger resolution was as great as I'd have liked it. But hey, it's Who, so it's allowed to get away with things like that. Am now very interested to see more of River Song, but wished they were gonna hold off til perhaps next year, an annual event, say. Apparently though that's not the case...
Will soon start on art for 'Flesh And Stone', and to those wondering, eventually will return to do a combined cover for both episodes.
Both episodes felt like they had their own identity, so this is the path I'm going down.
They do take a very long time to do, so please be patient with me, and at some point I'll end up lagging behind I expect....
it's a labour of love, though, and hoping this shows.
Comments please, please in the guestbook, on The Time Of Angels art, or in the
Facebook page
,
please join!!

'Hunchbacks and M and m's....mmmm'
Again apologies for the delay in getting 'Victory' to the site, it's just been a hard week, work-wise and home, we're currently in the midst of laying a patio, nuff said.
Um, I'm not overly sure what I think of said episode, wanted to love it lots, the idea of the Daleks in WWII, along with Churchill appeals big-time. And the pepperpots skulking in the background watching the Doctor worked a treat. But before this had sunk in, the pace changed and it was a different episode all together! Matt still was brilliant, a little too Tennant like in some areas, but very good, as was Karen Gillan. I'm still torn over the new 'hunchbacks' in their sweetie colours, actually I love the colours, even though they are obviously a marketing ploy (dreading Xmas this year... which colour will be the rare toy??!), but the design isnt' great, just an exaggeration of previous. Anyway what do I know! They'll presumably be back soon....
Seen 'The Time Of Angels' by now, and we liked this a lot, Amy (daughter, 12) is liking Smith a lot more now and the stories are appealing, so great, it was a step up from 'Victory' and then some. Scary is how it should be.... more next time.
I originally intended to do a different piece of art for the back of the GA cover, but time has beaten me, as has lack of decent photos. I'd like to thank Mark Pilbeam for his time in creating something special for this, and I will be working on an alternative cover some point soon, when time and photos allow.
Andy
Apologies for those waiting for the 'Victory of The Daleks' covers and wallpaper.
It's been a busy week, and I hope to have them up by weekend, time permitting.
